lyrics

Notes: On March 5, 2020, I was ambling through the College of the Desert campus in Palm Desert, California, in a feverous delirium. (Was it COVID-19? That may forever remain a mystery.) While wandering a previously unexplored footpath I came across a dozen large fish in a small pond. As I knelt at the water’s edge, several of them swam up to the surface to investigate. Somewhere in the delirious fog that filled my brain, words and sounds begin to form. Thankfully, I had enough remaining sense to pull out my phone, snap a few photos and record the sounds as they left my lips.

Two weeks later the state shut down in preparation for the oncoming onslaught of COVID-19 infections. I haven’t seen those fish since, though I am hopeful they have weathered the pandemic undaunted.

The track you are listening to now is that demo fully realized. A barn burner of a first single and an indicator of excellent things to come.

Thank you for listening. Please share with others. There will be more to come.
