Notes: In July of last year I severely injured both of my hands, tearing several tendons in my left index finger and dislocating my right pinkie. Both injuries took months to rehabilitate and rendered conventional songwriting impossible - I could barely hold a drumstick, let alone fret chords and strum a guitar.

Therein lay the seeds for the fruition of Prichard Nixon.

Despite my injuries, I could still sing. In lieu of a traditional instrument, my voice would become the instrument. Take a listen to any song on the Prichard Nixon website and you can hear the end result of those physical limitations. Where others saw hindrance, I saw opportunity.

"Hot Goat Yoga" is the first Prichard Nixon song written entirely on guitar. I was forced to improvise during the songwriting process, as any pressure on my left index finger would cause my entire hand to swell; as a result, I wrote and performed the entire song with only three fingers, a gnarly experience indeed.
